Make sense of a lab report
Every change has a second effect
You are holding a lab report, you see unusual lipid or metabolic values, and you were told to watch your diet. Nobody said what exactly to watch. Offset shows which measures move your values and what those same measures cost elsewhere.
Three values are enough. No registration. Calculated in the browser.
What the offset is
Almost every measure that improves one marker shifts something else. More fish lowers triglycerides and brings purines along, plus mercury depending on the species. More legumes lower ApoB and raise the purine load. Existing blood-value apps show trends. They do not show the price. That price is what we call the offset, and it sits under every measure.
Triglycerides 15 to 30 percent lower in studies
Depending on the source an added purine load, mercury from predatory fish, retinol from cod liver oil
How it works
01
Read the report
Read a PDF or enter at least three figures by hand. Every field is optional and you can switch the unit per field.
02
Read the ranking
You get three to four big levers and ten to fifteen small dials below them, ordered by what actually applies at your values.
03
Check the trade-offs
The Offset Map plots measures against markers and makes conflicting goals visible at a glance.
Prepare a doctor visit
Without a report: which values for a first picture aimed at ageing well. With a report: what to bring, which questions follow from the figures, what a standard order often misses.
Your lab values
Read your report as a PDF, or enter the values by hand. Every field is optional. From three values onwards the ranking is solid enough to be worth showing.

Read a PDF report
The files stay in this browser. They are not uploaded. After reading they are discarded from memory. Height and weight are rarely on the report — please add them beside this.

Without an account, your values never leave this browser
Lab values are a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR. By default we never receive them. Only with a free account and your consent do we store an encrypted history.
- Calculated in the browser
- The ranking runs entirely in your browser. PDF reports are read locally and never uploaded. Figures leave the browser only after consent and with an account, and then only as ciphertext.
- No plaintext on the server
- Without an account we store no history. With an account the database holds only an encrypted blob, not a column per lab figure.
- Account is optional
- You need no registration and no email address to see the result. Saving needs a free account.
- No tracking
- No analytics scripts, no advertising, no affiliate links, no external fonts. A session cookie is set only after a magic link.
Without an account: no request containing your figures appears in the network panel. With an account the request carries ciphertext only.
What Offset is not
- Not a supplement shop with a quiz in front of it. The catalogue, the weight log and the optional weekly mail are free — with no commission on products.
- Not a diagnosis and not a treatment recommendation. We provide context, we do not judge.
- Not a blood-value tracker with points and badges. Weight is only a series you keep yourself if you use an account.
- Not a promise. We give ranges from the literature and the evidence grade behind them, even when it is weak.

Changelog
2026-10
Ranking uses the literature point estimate. Rows without a settled size stay visible and do not count. HDL, hs-CRP, homocysteine and vitamin D stay blue, not as progress.
2026-09
Borderline badges removed. Study spans instead of point forecasts. Reporting without an account. FIB-4 and eGFR discrepancy taken out of the consumer product.
2026-08
Consolidated-3 import: lifestyle levers, hidden raisers and prescription context with sources.
